Getting Started with LayoutGen

LayoutGen works as a plugin inside your existing CAD environment. Once loaded, it adds a dedicated ribbon panel with all the tools you need to place, manage, and schedule kitchen equipment.

Prerequisites

AutoCAD 2026 or ZWCAD 2025+ (64-bit)
Windows 10 or later
An active LayoutGen subscription (Starter plan is free)

Quick Start

Download the LayoutGen plugin from your account dashboard
Load the plugin in your CAD application (see the Installation guide)
Open any floor plan drawing
Run the HPG command or press Shift+A to open the equipment picker
Select an equipment type and size, then click to place it in the drawing
